At Windura, we believe exceptional windows and doors do more than frame a view. They change the way a home feels. Our recent project in Leawood, where we installed Marvin Ultimate Windows & Doors with design expertise from LoveGood Interiors, is a perfect example.
The project had three clear goals: more natural light, better views, and a stronger connection between their indoor and outdoor living spaces. Each window and door was selected to complement the form and function of its room, so every space now feels bright, open, and inviting while keeping the home’s character intact. The result is a home where architecture, interior design, and performance work together, improving comfort, energy efficiency, and everyday living.

A True Design Partnership
Great results come from collaboration. LoveGood Interiors shaped the interior design vision, coordinating furnishings, finishes, lighting, and window treatments around the new openings. Windura guided the product selection and handled the installation, and Marvin supplied the Ultimate windows and doors at the center of the project.
We’re proud to partner with talented designers like LoveGood Interiors to bring our clients’ visions to life and create spaces that are as functional as they are inspiring.
The Window Wall: Light and Views Front and Center
Living room, before and after
The original white windows brought in light, but they blended into the walls, and the busy grid broke up the view. The new Marvin Ultimate Windows use dark frames and a simpler grid with larger panes of glass. The window wall now reads as a strong architectural feature that draws the eye straight to the trees outside, while the soft drapery and light interior palette keep the room bright and airy.
The same approach carries into the dining room, where the new window’s clean lines and larger glass areas put the mature trees on full display behind the table.
The Bay Window: A Favorite Spot, Refined
Breakfast nook, before and after
The breakfast nook’s bay window was already one of the home’s most-loved spaces, so the goal was refinement rather than reinvention. The new Marvin Ultimate windows trade white frames for dark, crisp lines that outline the garden views beyond. LoveGood Interiors’ patterned Roman shades and updated lighting tie the space together, showing how a bay window replacement can modernize a room without losing its charm.
Dining Room: Letting the View Take Center Stage
Dining room, before and after
The same approach carries into the dining room. The original white window, with its traditional grid, gave way to a Marvin Ultimate window with dark frames and larger panes of glass. The view of the mature trees outside now acts almost like an artwork behind the table, framed by the room’s patterned drapery and sculptural light fixtures.
The Patio Doors: A Seamless Step Outside
Family room patio door, before and after
The family room’s patio doors are the home’s main connection to the backyard. The new Marvin Ultimate doors use slim, dark frames that put the focus on the glass and the landscape beyond, making the transition from family room to patio feel effortless. Paired with full-length drapery, the doors give the room a stronger sense of structure while keeping the outdoors in view.
The Exterior: A Cohesive New Look

The changes are just as striking from the outside. Swapping white frames for a dark exterior gives the home a cohesive, updated look that complements its stucco, stone, and roofline. The rear elevation, bay windows, and patio doors now read as one unified design rather than a collection of separate openings, the kind of curb appeal improvement that is hard to achieve with paint or landscaping alone.
Why Marvin Ultimate Was the Right Fit
Marvin Ultimate is Marvin’s premium line of windows and doors, built for homeowners who don’t want to choose between design and performance. For this project, that meant:
- Design flexibility to match each room, from the window wall to the bay and the patio doors.
- Larger, cleaner glass areas that maximize natural light and views.
- Comfort and energy efficiency that support everyday living throughout the year.
Product quality is only half the equation. Even premium windows and doors depend on careful installation to look and perform the way they should for years to come. That’s why it pays to consider who you buy from and who installs them just as carefully as the products themselves.
