Windura is proud to sponsor our 100% employee based installation team in the to AAMA InstallationMasters™ program sponsored by the Fenestration & Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA). Our team is the only certified installers within 100 mile radius of Kansas City.
Additionally our own Installation Director, Dave Stecher, is the only Accredited Instructor in the area.
The Installation Masters program was developed by the Building Environment and Thermal Envelope Council (BETEC) through the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), and by the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA). Released in 2017 and updated in 2020, this segment focuses on replacement and retrofit applications, and the content is based on:
- ASTM E2112 - Standard Practice for Installation of Exterior Windows, Doors and Skylights
- AAMA 2410-13 - Standard Practice for Installation of Windows with an Exterior Flush Fin Over an Existing Window
Installers complete a one-day class and written exam to become certified. For accredited instructors, a four-day class and written exam are required.
